I remember the smell, it wafted out into the street just at small child level I am sure, it was so exciting there was far to much to choose from though and I am still rubbish at choosing anything lol, although being veggie for the last 30 or so years makes choosing a little easier as not all sweets are veggie sadly, although my ever increasing waistline is probably relieved.
Coconut covered mushrooms remind me of my grandad and pontefrac cakes remind me of being very tiny, I still like them now, luckily you can get veggie versions and they work wonders on the body :-)
I remember fizz bombs in many colours and stardust popping on my tongue! Spangles and picnic bars - are they getting smaller or did I just grow up?! Am loving your work Sue, keep it up. Everyone should have dreams and childhood memories xx
Walking home from school and seeing who could get the best stripe on their tongue with 2oz of sherbert!
